The MALCO Women Empowerment Project was initiated to empower rural women. It was launched on April 5th 2009. More than 15 groups have taken up profitable income generation activities. MALCO focused on microfinance as a means of women empowerment.

MALCO engaged Welfare Center for Women and Children (NGO) as its project partner in implementing a women’s empowerment project. The project formed 38 self-help groups covering 678 rural marginalized women. Around 281 women were empowered to become entrepreneurs.
